New Zealand Shores Success Stories
A leap of faith
My name is Amy, I am from South Africa, I moved to NZ with my husband and daughter in 2020.
Challenges
The most challenging part of the process was the “waiting”. Not being in control of that aspect makes you anxious and nervous. I remember many nights not being able to sleep because I was waiting for an email from Charlotte (our advisor). And when I did receive communication, I was so excited because I knew there was movement on our application process and that always made me happy!
The process
My Adviser was Charlotte. I cannot say enough kind words about Charlotte. From our emails to meeting her in person in South Africa, she remained professional and friendly throughout the process. She answered every single question I had – regardless how small my concern was. And for that I am grateful!
First impressions
My first impression of NZ was that it was very similar to Cape Town, South Africa. The look and feel of it all. I immediately felt at home in terms of the weather and the people I met. So, it was a smooth transition for us.
My advice to other migrants
My advice to other migrants is to take that leap of faith and contact NZ Shores. Our lives have changed forever because of that one email. It was the BEST decision we ever made. For us, the entire process took approximately six months. From the initial email to NZ Shores to arriving in NZ with a job offer. If you are serious about immigrating, contact NZ Shores today! Thank you once again, Charlotte and the team at NZ Shores!
