One of the ways to meet eligibility requirements is to hold a job that features on one of the "scarce lists"
What are the Scarce Lists?
Let's have a closer look at the jobs featured on one of the scarce lists, as published by Immigration New Zealand.
Under the one-off resident visa instructions, the following lists are deemed as meeting the requirements for a "Role in a scarce list"

Reminder of the eligibility criteria
To be eligible for the new one-off 2021-2022 resident visa you must:
- have been in New Zealand on 29 September 2021, and
- be on an eligible visa or have applied for an eligible visa on or before 29 September 2021 that is later granted.
You must also meet ONE of the three criteria:
- have lived in New Zealand for three or more years, OR
- earn at or above the median wage ($27 per hour), OR
- work in a role on a scarce list (listed on this page)
